Reiki & BEAM Healing
βThe Reiki method is not only for curing illness. Its true purpose is to correct the heart-mind, keep the body fit, and lead a happy life using the spiritual capabilities human beings were endowed with since birth.β
- From the memorial stone of Mikao Usui, founder of the Usui System of Reiki Healing
Ever felt "out of sorts" for no reason? So unbelievably exhausted or moody, without a reasonable explanation? Anxious or stressed after simply walking into a crowded store? Like you just don't fit into your own life anymore? That is your energy. I have been there and trust me, it's your energy telling you, that you need to be here.
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a healing technique based on the principle that a practitioner can channel energy into a client by means of light touch. This channeled energy activates the natural healing processes of the client's body, which in turn releases stress and restores physical and emotional well-being.
Our bodies have an energy field that is central to our health and proper functioning, much like our blood. This energy can become blocked or weakened, as can our arteries. When a blockage occurs we are more likely to get sick, feel stress, anxiety, and become emotionally unbalanced. Reiki practitioners are trained to detect and alleviate these problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional, and mental levels. The intention is to create deep relaxation, to help speed the bodies natural healing, reduce pain, and decrease many other symptoms a client may be experiencing.
The many benefits of Reiki include:
reduction of stress, anxiety, insomnia, and depression
improvements in sleep
enhanced immune system
pain management (chronic pain, migraines, etc)
assists with healing injuries (pre and post surgery)
reduction of side effects of medications and invasive medical treatments such as radiation or chemotherapy
greater ease in breathing
improved digestive functions
clearer focus and thinking
support in recovery from addictions
enhancement of self-esteem, self-acceptance and self-awareness
increased satisfaction in relationships
